Lion George Herda

Lion George Herda was a charter member of the Bay Lake Area Lions Club.  Lion George has also been a member of the Spring Lake Park Lions and the Cuyuna Range Lion . 

 Lion George recorded 47 years of perfect attendance.  Lions George was the principal organizer of six new Lions clubs: Moundsview, Ham Lake, Isanti, Bethel, Cambridge, and Bay Lake Area.  Lion George organized several fundraisers.  One such fundraiser is the Bay Lake Lions Auction.  Another fundraiser benefited Camp New Hope. 

Lion George was elected in to the 5M Lions Lions Hall of Fame in 2006 and received the honor posthumous.
